Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get a refund if I'm unhappy with my purchase?
No payments are accepted at this time, and thus, no refunds are available. If you are unsatisfied with your course bundle, reach out to the DVAA Course Coordinator, Kathleen Kelley, to discuss how we can improve your experience or make it more accessible.
What if I have trouble accessing the materials?
Students have until March 11th to complete all five prerequisite modules. The approximate amount of time it will take to complete the five modules/courses is 8 hours; plan accordingly. Each lesson will be marked as "Complete" as you progress through the course. A certificate will be available at the conclusion of each course.
What if I don't complete the prerequisites by 3/11?
You would not be eligible to attend the in-person event. The virtual modules prepare students to show up to the in-person Academy ready to apply knowledge and develop skills through multiple types of engagement. The Faculty has spent a great deal of time and effort to craft the best hybrid learning experience possible. Please reach out if you are experiencing difficulties!
I'm not a DVAA student or DVAA Applicant. Can I still access these materials?
No. These materials are part of the Delaware Victim Assistance Academy, which uses a hybrid learning model. Approximately 8 hours is completed virtually, and the remaining hours are offered in-person. The virtual modules complement the in-person curriculum. This intentional design empowers students to accumulate knowledge and develop skills through multiple learning modalities.
